I believe that no version of Daemon Tools is compatible with the official public Beta of Win7.

Windows 7 friendly contains file name "daemon4304-lite.exe", and I can confirm that it really works. So go download it and enjoy.

Slysoft has not yet officially supported by Windows7, however the software works fine as expected. The only thing you have to make sure is that you unmount all drives before shutting down Windows7 because Virtual CloneDrive seems to prevent the computer from shutting down.

Alcohol 52% does not work on Windows 7. If you install you will get a re-boot prompt again and again.

I think you get this problem because Virtual SCSI driver used to create the Virtual CD drive that does not work in Windows 7.

For any program, which has incompatibility problem running on Windows 7, there is an option to set the compatibility properties for a program manually.
(1) Right click on the program's shortcut, .exe file, or installation program
(2) Click on properties
(3) Click on Compatibility tab
(4) Check the option “Run this program in compatibility mode for “ and then choose the operating system
(5) Click apply

This will run a wizard that allows you to choose and run a program with which you have a problem. You can choose an existing installed programs or you can select the option says, not listed and then browse and select it. So next time you come across compatibility problems you know what to do!
