Click on Start->Settings-> Control Panel > Scanners and delete all that out? Sometime
the issue occurs if there are bits and pieces laying around.

This error occurs because there is not sufficient free contiguous space in the local user account's Temp folder.
To solve the problem I suggest that you empty the local Temp folder in Windows, as follows:

1. Click on My Computer and check that 'Show hidden files and folders' is turned on in Organise > Folder and Search Options > View > Advanced Settings.
2. Locate the following location:
C:\Users\(yourusernamefolder)\Appdata\Local\Temp and delete the contents of the Temp folder.
3 Once all the items have been deleted, close all the windows and empty the Recycle Bin.
4 Now install EPSON Scan

a. If the installation is successful, restart the computer to complete the installation.

c. If the installation fail again with the error "Could not copy files..", move to Steps 1 to 3 for further troubleshooting.
5. Locate the C:\Users\(yourusernamefolder)\Appdata\Local\Temp folder and rename Setup.exe to Setup.old.
6 Close the folder.
