Homegroups feature problem in windows 7

I have recently installed windows 7 and having an issue with homegroups feature of windows 7. Whenever I try to join a homegroup I just get joining homegroup screen with the progress bar that stays forever.

Set the file sharing to on, and after that share a folder by right clicking on the folder, select sharing, then share this folder. Do this on both systems, then reboot and check again.

Turn off the firewall

Same problem here. One thing I did discover is that you need the Windows Firewall service running to use Homegroups. Many folks don't use this Firewall and disable the service. The Firewall can be set to OFF but the service needs to be running.

Try turning off your firewalls and check your network cables.
