Installation and bootup extremely slow win7

Installation and bootup extremely slow win7

Postby isaac » Wed Jul 08, 2009 4:43 pm

Installation of windows 7 takes 2 to 3 hours. Often times, it shows 14% completed, and stops there for up to 10 to 15 minutes with zero progress being made during that time. Win7 shows a black screen for 30 to 40 seconds during boot up..? I am just wondering is there a fix to it?

Do not put a pass word and if you have a dual core system just go into MSconfig --> boot options --> advanced and then click use 2 processors.

Try the following trick to make Windows boots faster.
1. Press Win + R to open Run
2. Type MSConfig into the text box
3. Click on Boot tab.
4. For dual-boot or multi-boot system, make sure that the OS to make the change is selected.
5. Click on Advanced options.
6. Click on the check box for Number of processors, and set the number of processors.
7. Click OK.
8. Restart computer.
