Can anyone able to run play Mass Effect on Windows 7? I have the latest nvidia drivers for my computer and the latest game patch is installed. I am having issues while playing the game. After launching the game, I get a black screen.

Try to re-install the game and run the game in compatibility mode

Mass Effect runs nice and smooth on Windows 7. I run Mass Effect on Windows 7 at 1680×1050. I disabled the cinema effect and in the Catalyst control panel I set Anti-aliasing to 4x and anisotropic filtering to 16x, and enabled Adaptive Anti-aliasing.

Do you have a firewall, antivirus or security suite running? Sometimes an alert will popup behind a game to ask “if you wish to allow access to a new application”. I have had this issue when I ran the game first time. You will have to select an option for the application to continue normally. So click on the allow option and see if the game loads. (Or you can even manually add it to the safe list).
