Try to install it using the TROUBLESHOOT COMPATIBILITY tool of Windows 7. To use the tool,
Try the following steps
(1)Uninstall any drivers for the sound card.
Control Panel Add/Remove Programs
Control Panel-->SystemàHardware-->Device Manager-->Sound,Videl and game Controllers-->choose sound card-->Driver-->Uninstall and then reboot
(2)Download the driver from creative.com website to a folder you have created and placed on your desktop.
(3)Once the driver is downloaded, navigate to the setup.exe of the driver and Rt Click --> Troubleshoot Compatibility
(4) Let the Troubleshoot Compatibility tool find a solution, if it does not provide a solution it provides CUSTOMIZE SETTINGS and let you to install the drivers.

After clicking on the start program in troubleshooter, it starts to install, but bluescreen appears again when installer installs the drivers.

After trying numerous drivers this one worked for me

I also had to go into the soundcard in the control panel and change the playback to speakers as for some reason it was defaulted to headphones!
