You have to update your drivers. Compatibility issues can also cause windows 7 to freeze up. You can check the Microsoft Windows website for the latest updates.

The best place to get the most upto date driver for windows is by visiting your Manufacturer's website and/or official Vendor, by downloading and installing drivers from microsoft windows update is not the best way to update your drivers.
