I am a software programmer and have installed windows 7 but I do not like the " quote feature in windows 7. For example If I press quote button ", then I need to follow it up with a space key for it to visible. Can I turn off this feature?

Check your keyboard and font settings. If you type “ and it fails to appear, you have some problem with your keyboard.
