Will my windows 7 run fine on acer notebook?

I am currently using an Acer notebook with the Atom N280 processor and 1GB of RAM. I want to upgrade to Windows 7 when it becomes available. Will Windows 7 run smoothly on it?

Most recent netbooks will be able to run smoothly Windows 7. However, it is yet not clear how Microsoft plans to provide the update to computers without an optical drive. According to the latest speculations Microsoft will sell Windows 7 on a USB thumb drive or the company may partner with retailers and provide an in-store netbook upgrade program.
