I am looking for some good windows 7 back up softwares. Yesterday I had tried to backup .log files but for some reason did not get success.

You can use windows 7 built in backup program that allows you to make copies of data files and also create a system image, which contains system settings, programs and files.
Control panel->System and security-> Backup and Restore

You can try Cobian backup. Cobian Backup is open source software that helps to backup your files/directories to other directories/drives in the same system or other system in your network. You can download it from here:

I am using Acronis True Image. It works fine on windows 7
