Fixed the issue after installing vista drivers

I had the same problem and solved it after installing vista drivers for that specific printer. Vista drivers work fine on windows 7.

Run in compatibility mode for vista

It seems that you already tried to run it in compatibility mode for vista but after that did you rt. click on the file and tried to run it as an administrator?

To solve the issue install windows XP drivers on windows 7

Postby melvin » Thu Sep 10, 2009 1:20 pm

I have heard that many people have had success installing windows XP drivers on windows 7. So just try the XP drivers for that specific printer. Extract the drivers and run the setup and set it in compatibility for XP and afterwards right click and run as administrator.

Manually enable the device in device manager

Postby luke » Thu Sep 10, 2009 1:22 pm

Make sure it is enable in device manager. If windows 7 does not recognize the device automatically then go to the device manager, select your device, right click, choose enable, then Win7 will automatically install it for you.
