Windows 7 game issue

Windows 7 game issue

Today I have installed windows 7 and tried Counter Strike 1.6. When I run the game, I get a black background and I can hear the music but I could not get into the game. Other games such as Fallout 3 and COD4 are also not working on win7. I use nvidia Geforce 8400GS. Please Help me Guys!

The Reasons are:
(1) you might be using Windows 7 beta version.
(2) Steam compatibility issues on Windows 7
(3) OpenGL won’t work well with Windows 7

In Windows 7 32bit Counter Strike works fine.

You can run it under vista compatibility mode since windows 7 has the same kernal as Windows Vista.

To fix this problem you need WinRAR. Rt Click on steaminstaller.msi --> extract to and extract it to some folder--> Rename the rename steam1.exe into steam.exe and run it
