I have been facing an issue with long domains when using Windows 7 beta. I am getting the following error message
The attempt to join this computer to the .com domain failed. The parameter is incorrect.

To solve this problem you can simply you can simply download the following hotfix

It is not possible to connect to a domain that is using long domain names i.e more than 15 characters or trying to connect a domain names by using system properties user interface, the Netdom.exe command, an unattended setup or the Djoin.exe command.
