I recently installed Windows 7 on my system and had problem with Open VPN gui. When I tried installing OpenVPN in Windows 7 I got a message “TAP driver is unsigned, and this version of Windows ONLY supports signed drivers.”

Anyway, here’s a fix.

(1) If installed Open VPN- then uninstall the current copy of OpenVPN.

(2) Download the installer from here:

http://openvpn.net/release/openvpn-2.1_rc15-install.exe

(3) Rt-Click Installer-->Properties-->Compatibility
Choose the option “Run this program in compatibility mode for: - Windows Vista”

(4) Set the Privilege Level: --Run this program as an administrator

(5) Click Ok

(6) Run the installer

I am sure this will help you out.

Set under properties in the OpenVPN GUI "run this program as an administrator” otherwise routing of networks won’t work.
