Windows 7 photo gallery can’t start

Windows 7 photo gallery can’t start

Postby gabriel » Tue Dec 29, 2009 5:09 pm

I have windows 7 installed on my PC. On running Photo Gallery for the first time I get the following error message.
"Photo Gallery can't start. Perhaps there is no space on the hard drive, or
critical files may be missing".
There is enough space on my hard drive and I think no files are missing.
Any suggestions please,
gabriel

Postby leroy » Sun Jan 03, 2010 2:10 pm

Try the following steps:
1. Click the Start orb
2. Type folder options in the Start Search box,->click the Folder Options program->View -> Advanced Settings window-> select Show hidden files and folders->OK
3. Navigate to the following folder
C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Photo Gallery
4. Copy any files in here to another location as a back up and then delete them from the Windows Photo Gallery directory
After deleting the files start Windows Photo Gallery.
After that return to folder options and select “Do not show hidden files and folders”
