Windows 7 sleep mode issue

Postby melvin » Tue Aug 18, 2009 3:32 am

I just installed windows7 and after installing I put the system in sleep mode but could not wake it up. It happens many times whenever I put my system in sleep mode. How to fix this?

I had the same issue and solved it after disabling USB support in BIOS

Control panel-->Power options-->change when computer sleeps->change advanced power settings and set the following options
+Sleep
Allow hybrid Sleep > disabled
Allow wake timers > disable/enable try both settings

+USB
USB selective suspend > ENABLE.

Look in your BIOS for ACPI suspend options

If that doesn't work, you can look in your BIOS; most machines have ACPI options. There are different modes that are usually set to S1 and S3. Change it to just S3 and see if it works.
