I am using Windows 7 on my PC and have installed some spectacular themes from microsoft site but after installing them
I found my custom icons have been changed.

How to solve this issue?

Rt click on empty area of the desktop->Personalize > Change Desktop Icons->uncheck the option "Allow themes to change desktop icons" box ->click OK. Your custom icons will now be preserved, and the only way to modify them will be manually, from the same Desktop Icons dialogue.
