I think the issue of not working logon script via group policy is because of slow network connection that is been detected during the initial logon process

Steps to solve login script issue

Here is a workaround to the issue of logon scipts
1. Open the Active Directory Users and Computers Microsoft Management Console (MMC)->right-click on domain object ->click on Properties-> Group Policy tab
2. If you have Group Policy Management Console for MMC, then run the Group Policy Management and do not perform the above step.
3. Select the Default Domain Policy ->click Edit.
4. Locate the following
Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System -> Group Policy.
5. Search Scripts policy processing and Double click on it and check the box-> check the box “Allow processing across a slow network connection” ->press OK.
6. Close the MMC snap-in.
7.Restart the remote computer.
